Kenmore top-load washing machine lids are shattering spontaneously

A consumer advocacy group claims the glass lids of Kenmore top-load washers shatter spontaneously and that Sears is slow to resolve the problems. Elliott Advocacy reports other Kenmore washer owners reported the same problem in early 2018.
