Ford wants to trick your body into thinking it’s warm to maximize EV range

Using the climate control system reduces an electric car's range by up to 50%. Rather than giving EV buyers a free parka, the company is working on color-coded ambient lightning technology that makes the passengers feel cooler or warmer.
