Could BMW launch a range-topping, Rolls-Royce-based coupe dubbed 9 Series?

A new report coming out of Germany finds BMW will finally introduce a range-topping coupe aimed at the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe. Tentatively called 9 Series, it will ride on a Rolls-Royce-derived platform and use engines from the BMW parts bin.
