Wall St. dips, S&P off peak, on lackluster data
At 2:01 p.m., the Dow Jones industrial average fell 15.95 points, or 0.09 percent, to 18,236.29, the S&P 500 lost 2.04 points, or 0.1 percent, to 2,119.06 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 11.79 points, or 0.23 percent, to 5,039.01. Four of the 10 major S&P 500 sectors fell, with the financial index down 0.69 percent. Microsoft , which dropped 1.31 percent, was the biggest contributor to the S&P 500's decline.
