The Latest: Magnitude 4.7 quake shakes central California
Seismologists have slightly revised the magnitude of a central California earthquake down to 4.7.The quake struck at 12:42 p.m. and was centered about 16 miles (25 kilometers) southeast of Hollister in a mountain range with agricultural areas to the west.The U.S. Geological Survey's citizen reporting pages show it was felt in communities around Monterey Bay, north to the San Francisco region and in some Central Valley locations.
