S&P 500 falls below 2,000; oil extends decline, bonds rally

NEW YORK (AP) — U.S. stocks fell on Thursday, extending a decline after a big slump on Monday. The price of oil continued to slide and bonds rallied, pushing the yield on the 10-year Treasury note below 2 percent.
