Nasdaq trades briefly above dot-com record as stocks gain

NEW YORK (AP) — The Nasdaq composite crossed a milestone and U.S. stocks turned higher in early afternoon trading Thursday, despite mixed earnings reports from General Motors, Proctor & Gamble and others.
