Mauritius business confidence rises in Q1 -survey

Business confidence in Mauritius improved in the first quarter driven by a recovery in domestic demand, a survey of leading private companies showed on Wednesday. The Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry's quarterly confidence index rose to 87.9 points, from 82.5 points in the final quarter of 2014. The economy is expected to grow 4.1 percent this year, up from 3.5 percent in 2014, according to Statistics Mauritius.
