Gold falls more than 1 pct to 6-week low

By Jan Harvey LONDON (Reuters) - Gold slid to six-week lows on Friday in holiday-thinned trade, as disappointment at its failure to hold above $1,200 an ounce this week and longer-term expectations for a U.S. rate rise undermined investor confidence.
