European stocks steady awaiting ECB
European stock markets were largely steady in trading Thursday, with all eyes on the European Central Bank ahead of its latest policy decisions aimed at supporting the struggling eurozone economy. Outside the single currency bloc, London's benchmark FTSE 100 index was down almost half a percent. The euro slipped against the dollar as investors focus on Thursday's meeting of the European Central Bank that is widely expected to see it unveil more stimulus.
