Erdogan compares detained activists to coup plotters
Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday accused recently detained rights activists of trying to implement the aims of those who failed to oust him in a coup last year.Idil Eser, director of Amnesty International Turkey, was held on Wednesday along with activists and trainers on Buyukada, an island south of Istanbul.Amnesty International said those arrested are accused of membership of a terror group.
