China auto sales down 0.5% in April: industry group

Auto sales in China, the world's largest car market, fell 0.5 percent year-on-year to 1.99 million vehicles in April, an industry group said on Monday. For the first four months of the year, auto sales increased 2.8 percent on the same period last year to 8.14 million vehicles, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). Slowing economic growth, limits by some cities on vehicle numbers and a prolonged corruption crackdown affecting the luxury segment have all had
