Fitch cut its long-term rating on Afren to 'C' from 'B' last week. ** Excluding Thursday's losses, Afren's stock has almost tripled in value since Seplat was given more time to negotiate with the company on a deal and it was granted a month's grace on its debt payments on Jan. 30.
