Botswana cbank cuts rate by 100 basis points to 6.5 pct
JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - Botswana's central bank cuts its benchmark lending rate by 100 basis points to 6.5 percent on Wednesday, saying the state of the economy and inflation outlook provided scope for easing monetary policy. "Modest domestic demand pressures and benign foreign price developments contribute to the positive inflation outlook in the medium term," the Bank of Botswana said in a statement.
