US’ Unitel demonstrates Merlin CCU process for blue methanol

Unitel Technologies has demonstrated its Merlin CCU process for converting captured CO2 into methanol.
A standard unit can consume 30,000 tonnes of CO2 annually to produce 73,000 tonnes of blue methanol.
The technology targets rising demand across chemicals, biodiesel and marine fuels, while offering ethanol plants a route to utilise fermentation CO2 and existing infrastructure.
