US' Honeywell Technologies backs GPIC's Bahrain aromatics expansion

Honeywell Technologies will license and engineer GPIC’s new aromatics complex at Sitra, Bahrain, expanding petrochemical feedstock capacity.
The plant is expected to make 1.2 million metric tonnes of paraxylene and 500,000 metric tons of benzene a year using Honeywell UOP processes.
Outputs will feed plastics, polyester fibres and packaging, extending Honeywell-GPIC collaboration.
