Is China POY rally just getting started as PTA, MEG hold up?

China POY prices edged higher in mid-August as autumn-winter restocking met firmer upstream costs; 100D/96F rose 1.08 per cent.
PTA led gains, up 3.79 per cent on tight domestic supply and rising paraxylene costs, while MEG gained 1.47 per cent amid Strait of Hormuz shipping risk.
POY 75D/96F eased 0.40 per cent, but cost pressure and seasonal offtake point to a firmer market into September.
