Germany's industrial output rises 2% in August 2026

Germany’s industrial production rose 2.0 per cent month on month in August 2026, with construction output up 9.3 per cent and machinery and equipment production increasing 5.3 per cent, Destatis said.Production excluding energy and construction rose 0.6 per cent, while energy-intensive industries fell 0.5 per cent during the month and remained 2.1 per cent below August 2025 levels.
