Egypt, South Korea launch CEPA talks, elevate strategic ties

Egypt and South Korea launched negotiations on a CEPA and upgraded ties to a strategic partnership.
Following summit talks in Seoul, the leaders signed or revised 12 co-operation documents covering defense, shipbuilding, clean energy and technology.They pledged to expand trade, investment and industrial co-operation, while bilateral trade reached $874 million in January-August 2026.
