Could narrower US tariff gaps reverse recent sourcing shifts?

US imports from 60 economies now face a new Section 301 tariff of either 10 per cent or 12.5 per cent, after the 150-day Section 122 tariff expired.
The structure cuts previous apparel sourcing gaps to two tiers: 10 per cent for Bangladesh, India, Cambodia and Indonesia, and 12.5 per cent for China, Vietnam and Thailand.
Those tariff gaps influenced US apparel sourcing decisions throughout 2025.
