CNY volunteer fights an Oregon wildfire: 'It's dangerous work'

Donald Nelson, 53, of Spafford, a state Department of Environmental Conservation employee, volunteered to put himself in the line of fire in Oregon. He shared the following photos of his experiences there. He took some of the photographs himself, and fellow firefighters took the rest.
