According to ABC News, Mt Gox CEO Mark Karpeles is set to face embezzlement charges in a Japanese court on Tuesday. Karpeles is suspected of inflating his own cash account by $1 million during his time at the head of the now-defunct bitcoin exchange.
According to CoinDesk, the IRS has narrowed their investigation of tax evasion by Coinbase users down to those who conducted at least $20,000 worth of one transaction type in a single year.
