'Back to the Future' Director Says Universal Won't Make Musical Movie, Attends L.A. Premiere of Broadway Tour

A Back to the Future musical movie might not be happening anytime soon, but fans across the country now have the opportunity to see the musical on stage!
Days after director Robert Zemeckis revealed that Universal Pictures isn’t interested in making a musical movie with him, the filmmaker attended the opening night performance of Back to the Future: The Musical on Wednesday (November 6) at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles.
Robert was joined by the film’s star Lea Thomps
