Broccoli sprouts linked to salmonella outbreak recalled after 22 are sickened

Evergreen Fresh Sprouts LLC on Thursday announced it's recalling over 200 cases of broccoli sprouts over concerns they may be contaminated with salmonella, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).Evergreen said it's recalling 215 cases of broccoli sprouts, each of which includes six four-ounce bags per case, because of the risk of salmonella contamination.Salmonella is a foodborne illness that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people
