IDC: Traditional PCs declined precipitously in 2022; Apple Mac sales grew

Global shipments for traditional PCs fell below expectations in the fourth quarter of 2022 (4Q22) as 67.2 million PCs were shipped, down 28.1% from the prior year, according to preliminary results from the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker. The 4Q22 shipments are comparable to the fourth quarter of 2018, when the market was constrained by Intel’s supply challenges. It is clear the pandemic boom is over for the PC market, but despite
