Emergency Team Of Volunteers Help Wildlife Affected By Major Oil Spill In Turkey

After a major oil spill affected wildlife in coastal areas in Western Turkey, Birdlife Turkey (Doğa Derneği) sent an emergency team of volunteers to help with the rescue.
The spill occurred last Friday in the waters of Izmit Bay near the rich Key Biodiversity Area of Kocaeli Tepeleri, and has put human health and marine biodiversity at risk.
