Wigan Athletic sack Gary Caldwell after just 18 months in charge with the side 23rd in the Championship  

Gary Caldwell has left his role as manager of Wigan Athletic. The 34-year-old is leaving his post at the DW Stadium after 18 months in charge. Caldwell led Wigan to promotion last season as champions.
