24 hour badminton marathon raises funds for local cancer charity

Riverside Leisure Centre Badminton Club, based at Morpeth, have raised a fantastic £4,000 for a local charity by taking part in a marathon 24 hour badminton session.
Over 90 players, not only from Riverside but players from other clubs, juniors from our Performance Centre and Futures groups ranging from 8 to 75 years of age, took part in the event aiming to keep the shuttle active for 24 hrs.
