Why is Tadcaster Road going to be dug up again?

I have just read about road works that are going to be carried out on Tadcaster Road only months after the road was renewed (Blunder will see Tadcaster Road dug up - months after £600k resurfacing, October 10). I’m not going to comment. However, to some of us Flanders & Swan’s ‘When the Gas Man Cometh’ immediately comes to mind. I’m sure those who are not familiar with this song can download it. When listening to it, think of our council!
