West Yorkshire Police Officer Charged With Misconduct in a Public Office

Tuesday, 2 July, 2024A West Yorkshire Police officer has been charged with misconduct in a public office.  Detective Constable Wasim Bashir, 54 years, based in Bradford District, has been charged with one count of misconduct in a public office in relation to a report of abuse of position for a sexual purpose.It follows an investigation by West Yorkshire Police’s Counter Corruption Unit under the direction of the Independent Office for Police Conduct.He is due to appear at Hull Magistr
