PETA join growing calls for South Shields camel parade to be cancelled

Animal rights activists PETA have joined growing calls for South Shields camel parade to be cancelled after a petition against the event reached more than 80.000 signatures. Pressure is mounting on South Tyneside Council to cancel the annual festive procession, which sees crowds turn out to watch "Three Kings" riding camels along Ocean Road.
