UPDATE: Birmingham City v Aston Villa

A substantial policing operation is in place to prevent disorder and protect the safety of the public and fans at today’s local derby between Birmingham City and Aston Villa. Throughout the planning stages officers have liaised closely with both clubs and fan groups. Measures were put in place in effort to reduce opportunities for disorder to arise. This includes the club restricting the sales of tickets to away fans and the non-sale of alcohol inside the stadium.
