Thief jailed for string of city centre purse dippings

A woman has been jailed after stealing purses from the bags of pensioners in Birmingham city centre. 

Unemployed Tracie Slater, from Derby, appeared before Birmingham Crown Court on Wednesday (21 January) where she was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment for six thefts and a further offence of attempted theft in May and November last year.
