Special constable sentenced for fraudulent travel claims
A West Midlands Police special constable, who worked for the force for 28 years, has been given a four month prison sentence suspended for 12 months at Birmingham Crown Court, after he admitted fraudulently claiming travel expenses while working for the force.
Mahesh Randeria , aged 51, who was based at Birmingham Central Police Station, had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to claiming over £1,300 extra for petrol expenses than he was entitled to between October 2010-November 2013.
