Police probe armed raid on bank security guards

Detectives are investigating after a gunman attempted to hold up security staff as the filled a Birmingham cash machine.

The two guards were topping up cash at the Nationwide building society’s Coventry Road branch in Small Heath when a man, holding a handgun, shouted at them to open the door.
