Police move to reassure worried parents

Police have moved to reassure parents in Birmingham after a highlighter pen which had a pencil sharpener blade attached to it was confiscated from a student in the city.Last Friday (15 January) officers were made aware of a student at a Birmingham school who was found with one of the make-shift items. It was taken away from him and enquiries are on-going.
