Police granted more time to quiz terror suspects

Detectives have been given extra time to question five men who were arrested last Friday (26 August) on suspicion of terrorism offences.Three of the men were arrested by West Midlands Counter Terrorism officers in Birmingham and two in the Stoke area of Staffordshire on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.Detectives were granted a further seven day extension following an application to Westminster Magistrates Court today (Thursday).Foll
