Pedestrian critically injured in Ward End crash

A pedestrian has been left critically injured after being hit by a car in Ward End.The 39-year-old man was crossing Washwood Heath Road last night (Monday 25 July) near to the junction of Southern Road just after 7pm.He was struck by a grey Vauxhall Insignia which was heading towards Birmingham causing  him in serious leg and head injuries.His condition is described as critical and he continues to be treated in hospital.Sergeant Alan Wood, from the Regional Collision Investigation Unit, sai
