Once upon a time, Birmingham looked like this

We take a look back to the 1950s from the archives at a developing Birmingham. The Erdington Lyndhurst Estate was just being built and areas like Rubery and Shard End were just beginning. Other established regions of the city have not changed in many years, Sparkhill, Small Heath, all look very similar over the passage of time.
