Murder investigation launched following Summer Lane stabbing

Detectives have launched a murder investigation after a man died following a stabbing in Birmingham earlier this week.Officers were called to Summer Lane in Newtown at around 7.55pm on Tuesday 23 August to reports of the stabbing.A 26-year-old man was found with life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, but his condition deteriorated and he died today (Thursday 25 August).A post-mortem will take place in due course to establish a cause of death.No arrests have been made but offic
