Moving from Birmingham to Chicago: How I learned about the anger behind BLACK LIVES MATTER protesters.

When I moved from Birmingham to Chicago, I realised I was Black. I was 16 when I left Stirchley with my family.  I had been one of two Africans at Selly Park Secondary School and the only Ghanaian in my school year, but I rarely felt different because my skin was darker than my friends.
