Motorway officers support European seatbelt campaign

More than 200 Midlands motorists were fined last week for not wearing a seatbelt as part of a Europe-wide clampdown on people who fail to buckle up.

Between 9 and 15 March, a total of 243 drivers were caught on the Midlands motorway network for seatbelt offences, including several parents caught allowing their children to travel without being securely strapped in.
