Man suffers broken leg in Birmingham hit and run − suspect arrested in Lichfield 30mins later

A suspected hit and run driver has been arrested following a collision in Castle Vale this morning (Feb 19) that left a pedestrian with a broken leg.

Police were alerted just after 6am when a man in his 50s was struck by a car in Kingsbury Road near the Tyburn House pub.

The driver of the car sped off but a quick-thinking fellow motorist noted down its details and passed them to police call handlers.
