Man named in West Bromwich fatal crash

A man who died in a West Bromwich collision yesterday (17 November) has been named as police continue to appeal for information.Local man Alan Maxfield was struck by a lorry on Jowetts Lane at around 8.40am.The 70-year-old was treated by the ambulance service but despite their best efforts died at the scene.Sergeant Paul Hughes, from the force's Collision Investigation Unit, said : "I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time who has not yet spoken to us, to come forward."Our though
