Man jailed after grandfather killed in Solihull collision

A Birmingham man has been jailed for five years after pleading guilty to causing the death of a grandfather and injuring a young boy in a Solihull collision last year.

On the afternoon of Sunday 17 August Kirpal Sokhi from Tetley Road, Sparhill was driving a Range Rover, without the owner’s consent and without insurance, along Bills Lane, Shirley at over 80mph in a 30 limit when he collided with a Vauxhall Astra van.
