Man in court charged with attempted murder

A 34-year-old man will appear before Dudley Magistrates this morning (Monday 6 June) charged with two counts of attempted murder.Daniel Watkins, of Smiths Close, Alcester, has been charged in connection with a fire on Chapelhouse Lane, Cradley in which a 34-year-old woman and a six-year-old girl were treated in hospital for smoke inhalation in the early hours of Friday (3 June) morning.
