Jail for man who admitted killing Wolverhampton man

A Wolverhampton man has been sentenced to 10 years behind bars after pleading guilty to the manslaughter of 54-year-old Stephen Phillips.Lewis Thornton, aged 24, was due to stand trial this week but pleaded guilty to manslaughter on Tuesday. Appearing at Wolverhampton Crown Court today (6 January) he was handed the 10 year sentence and was ordered to remain on licence for an additional three years.
