Halesowen man admits causing death of student in Hagley Road crash

A Halesowen man has pleaded guilty to causing the death of a Birmingham student in a collision on Hagley Road West last year. 

Sukvinder Mannan was arrested after the Mitsubishi he was driving careered into a bus stop where Rebecca McManus was waiting to travel into Birmingham to attend a friend’s hen do, on 31 May. 

Rebecca, who was 21, died at the scene, while a friend, who was also aged 21, was seriously hurt.
