Fraud police helping protect elderly from cruel cons

Fraud investigators from West Midlands Police have teamed up with a leading bank to help prevent the region’s elderly falling prey to cruel con artists.

Officers from the force’s specialist Economic Crime Unit (ECU) and a team from Santander spoke directly to members of Age UK Birmingham during a crime prevention seminar aimed at raising awareness of scams popular with fraudsters, including Courier Fraud.
