Former officer jailed for police computer misuse

A former Wolverhampton beat officer who leaked police information about an immigration probe has today (Monday 16 February) been sentenced to six months imprisonment at Birmingham Crown Court.

Nigel Orme, 49, from Kidderminster, was arrested as part of an investigation by West Midlands Police’s Counter Corruption Unit into the misuse of police systems.
